Purchased this from Amazon on a preorder before it was released. It was definitely worth the wait! I set the TV up myself with the on screen step by step guide, even the wifi was very easy to setup, especially with the keypad on the remote! Great picture, even on an angle. Quite a few great apps with more to come. Very cool TV.

I own a Vizio 37" that i got last year and it works and looks great, only 60hz, but has done the job thus far. You don't realize what your missing until you see even 120hz blu ray movie and games are even a bit smoother. That being said i picked up this TV on a wim and thought ok its 848, good price, and 240hz, the catch please? Well when i unboxed it and plugged it in, the Vizio sign in the front started flashing then the TV came on, alone, without help, hmm odd. So i worked with it, wiggled the plug in the back making sure everything was good etc. Turned it off, left the room for 20 seconds i hear the TV, alright its possessed, so i messed with it thinking there was an automatic setting to shut of or what not. Well i did this for awhile to no avail, the TV just kept turning itself on and the only way to get it to shut off was to leave it unplugged, not good. So i googled it, found a forum of people with similar problems with this model and few others. So i called SAM's club where i purchased it and he said yep thats a defect as though it had happened a lot. Took it into the store found out 2 out of 6 of the Vizios they sell come back with the same problem. Gee thats nice. So even though my Vizio now works well(i'll stick to it until i get Samsung) i'm a little leary about the next year of use. I've tried out others and basically Samsung has been the king without a challenge, the Sony i tried was fuzzy and discolored(even though i love Sony products), love Toshiba laptops, so i tried a Toshiba Regza and the picture was just awful, and the motion flow as barely noticeable. About a year ago my friend bought the gigantic 55" Vizio and the picture was so bad we packed it up after 2 hours and ran it right back, thinking it was just a lemon, got another, same thing. So i "use" to be a Vizio fan, now i just find that they are unreliable, and won't buy another. Remember 20 years ago, or even back in the 80's when you bought things and they lasted for 15 to 20 years? What ever happened to that? In this day and age nothing seems to be lasting more than two years, thats really a shame. At any rate don't get this one or if you do its at your own risk, the associate there and a few others said that Vizio is "working" on the problem, whatever that really means.
I can't believe how much better this looks than my Panasonic 42" plasma. The 240Hz makes all the difference in the world and the internet apps are actually not as cheasy as I thought they would be. Awesome TV!
